This repository contains a JavaScript automation script called deleteMyRepliesWithDebug.js that helps users automatically delete their replies from Twitter/X. The script provides an async function deleteMyRepliesWithDebug(n, myUsername) that can identify and delete up to a specified number of replies from your Twitter/X account.
The script automates the process of finding and deleting your replies on Twitter/X by:
- Automated Reply Detection: Scans the current page to identify replies posted by the specified username
- Batch Deletion: Deletes up to the specified number of replies (parameter
n) - Smart Scrolling: Automatically scrolls the page to load additional replies when needed
- Error Handling: Gracefully handles cases where delete buttons or confirmation dialogs are not found
- Comprehensive Logging: Provides detailed console output for monitoring and debugging
- Automatically identifies replies from your specified username
- Clicks delete buttons and confirms deletion for each reply found
- Processes replies in the order they appear on the page
- Automatically scrolls the page to load more replies when the requested number isn't immediately visible
- Attempts up to 3 scroll cycles if insufficient replies are found in the current view
- Prevents infinite scrolling by limiting retry attempts
- Real-time feedback: Shows which replies are being processed and deleted
- Confirmation messages: Logs successful deletions to the console
- Error reporting: Reports when delete buttons or confirmation dialogs cannot be found
- Summary statistics: Notifies if fewer replies were found than requested
- Handles Twitter/X interface changes gracefully
- Logs errors when UI elements are not found
- Continues processing remaining replies even if individual deletions fail
