These are the connectors on the PSU. You could create extension cables in order to run the machine with the PSU outside of it for testing.

Molex mini-fit jr 6-way is the large 6-pin connector to the daughterboard Digikey link

TE Connectivity Economy 2.5 4 way is the smaller one next to it Digikey link mating connector

There are two cable bundles between the two PCBs inside the supply. Each cable is terminated by JST PH2.0 connectors. One cable is 7-way and other is a 9-way. It might be possible to make extension cables to ease testing.

The high voltage wire is UL3239 40kv 22AWG, about 7 feet. This is the infamous "red wire" that's know for its insulation failing. Its internal connection is encased in a silicone potting compound and removal/replacement requires specialised skill and equipment.
