🛰️ My name is Brad, and I am an Assistant Research Scientist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and previously a NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) Fellow in the Carbon Cycle and Ecosystems group at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology.
🧊 My research focuses on gaining a better understanding of the permafrost carbon feedback by decoding cryospheric earth system dynamics, disentangling the causal links and feedback drivers of change attributed to permafrost dynamics and the carbon cycle, and capturing the ecological memory of a rapidly changing landscape with in situ, remote sensing, process-basd modeling, and AI.
🌎 The objective here is to expedite knowledge discovery, facilitate novel instrument development, and fulfill and deliver mission-critical utility from Circumarctic multimodal applications. More holistically, my work seeks to bridge the gap between physical scientists and systems engineers with data-driven approaches to better inform synthesis, analysis, and discovery.
Collaboration opportunities and research inquiries are always welcome!
