To be able to run this script as root (sudo -i) composer need's to be in a directory which is exported to root.

Did you have an error with /usr/local/bin path ?

I had the same issue as @JanJed, but realized/usr/local/bin wasn't in my path. I think that might be @JanJed's issue as well.
I just modified your script and added the full path to composer.

Hi @erniee, thank you for your report. Can you tell me which version of your operating system you are using with :
cat /etc/*release
