Added a drop_off_cliff timeseries and examples of the analysis of the timeseries using the standard crucible (skyline) algorithms to determine their effectiveness in detecting a drop off cliff event in a high rate timeseries. This is a real world timeseries that experiences a drop of cliff pattern that the standard crucible (skyline) algorithms do not detect.
There is full info in the examples/detect_drop_off_cliff directory relating to the resultant crucible images from each algorithm, along with the original json data set too. Further to this there is output from a new experimental
detect_drop_off_cliffalogrithm, however only the canonical timeseries and info are in this pull request.
