The goal of SOAR is to build an AR prototype that enhances the driving experience, improving modalities related to safety, drivability, and comfort. SOAR features on-road navigation instructions, social annotations, and parking assistance.

We improve safety and drivability by bringing navigation away from the phone/dashboard and directly onto the road with carpet-path on-road navigation!
We make driving a social experience by allowing friends to recommend locations to each other as well as highlight important landmarks (e.g. gas stations, rest stops).
We make finding parking much easier by routing users to the parking lot with free parking spots closest to their final destination.
