Version **7.5**, announced 2026-02-26, is worth a closer look—not for flashy features, but for how it addresses a long-running **supply-chain timing** problem with email.

+## Why this release is worth covering
+
+Thunderbird ships in Tails for people who need IMAP/SMTP without their everyday OS.
