SST no longer uses a forked AWS CDK

Previously, SST relied on a forked version of the AWS CDK for two main reasons:

  • Certain functionalities were not publicly exposed.
  • There was no way to suppress CDK's terminal output.

Over the past year, the AWS CDK has undergone major refactors and has become significantly more user-friendly for programmatic use.

What does this mean for SST?

SST can now stay up-to-date with the latest CDK versions much more easily, without maintaining a custom fork.
