What are the other options that are not "Privately" and what do they mean?
Our builders would want their HubSpot apps to connect with their customer's HubSpot instances, not just their own, does "Privately" prevent them from doing so?

Good question!
There are two distribution options when using HubSpot projects:
- Privately - Allows OAuth-based installation to multiple customer accounts (up to 10 customers, or
100 for Solution Partners). - Marketplace - For apps intended to be listed on the HubSpot App Marketplace (limited to 25 installs
until listed).
So actually - we shouldn't recommend using Method 3 (for Ampersand use). More on new distribution limits: https://developers.hubspot.com/changelog/new-marketplace-distribution-app-install-limits
