Emacs aren't so happy about your docstrings so I took the liberty of changing them.

Rephrased a couple of docstrings
Where appropriate I escaped apostrophe: \\='
Replaced double apostrophes with grave accent and apostrophe and quoted them where needed
Removed apostrophes around function arguments, nil, t
