Based on the reducing Haussdorf lower bound per iteration, it looks like the algorithm is working, although it is quite slow, and I don't think I was able to get it to converge. To keep things going, I capped the iteration count at 10, so if the code were to run much longer, convergence could probably be achieved within some tolerance. But I'm not sure why the optimization keeps restarting automatically...
