🐦‍⬛ Flow - Installation Instructions

🌐 Overview

This extension provides two main features and works on all major Chromium-based browsers (such as Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi):

1. YouTube FYP Blocker: Hides video recommendations, channels, and notifications on YouTube while preserving search functionality
2. New Tab Blocker: Automatically closes new tabs and returns to the previous tab (except for links that open in new tabs)

🔧 Installation Instructions

Method 1: Loading the unpacked extension (Developer mode)

1. Open your Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, etc.) and navigate to chrome://extensions/ (or your browser's extensions page)
2. Enable "Developer mode" by toggling the switch in the top-right corner
3. Click "Load unpacked" and select the extracted extension folder
4. The extension should now appear in your extensions list and be active

Method 2: Drag and drop installation

1. Open your Chromium-based browser and navigate to chrome://extensions/ (or your browser's extensions page)
2. Enable "Developer mode" by toggling the switch in the top-right corner
3. Drag and drop the .zip file onto the extensions page
4. Confirm any prompts that appear

🧰 Using the Extension

1. Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar to open the popup
2. Use the checkboxes to toggle each feature on/off:
   • Block FYP: Hides recommendations, channels, and notifications on YouTube
   • Block New Tabs: Prevents new tabs from being created (except for links)
3. Settings are saved automatically and will persist between browser sessions

• New Tab Blocking:

  • Automatically closes new tabs created by clicking "New Tab" or using Ctrl+T
  • Returns focus to the previous tab
  • Exempts links that open in new tabs

🕵️ Troubleshooting

• If the extension doesn't work after installation, try restarting your browser
• Make sure both features are enabled in the popup
• For YouTube blocking, refresh any open YouTube tabs after enabling the feature

• This extension is only on the Chrome Web Store, however your browser most likely added support to download it
• Compatible with all major Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Vivaldi, etc.)
