OpenToys is released!

OpenToys is an open platform for building AI-powered toys and interactive devices. This first release is a desktop app that lets you run conversational AI locally and connect it to physical devices like plush toys, robots, or custom ESP32 hardware.

Our goal is to make it easy for developers, educators, and makers to experiment with educational and storytelling AI characters that live on consumer hardware.
