This looks good to me, thanks for improving compatibility with the CPython module!
I tested successfully with this script and similar adapted for CPython to confirm APIs now match.

logging.log(logging.ERROR, "log(INFO) hello world")
logging.info("INFO hello")
logging.debug("DEBUG hello")
logging.warning("WARNING hello")
logging.error("ERROR hello")
logging.critical("CRITICAL hello")
