  2. Unzip the file to get a Wavefunction_1.1.saver file.
  3. Double click the .saver file and follow the instructions to install the screensaver.
  4. If necessary, go to System Settings > Screen Saver and select Wavefunction Screensaver to set it as the screensaver.

To uninstall:

  1. Right click the screensaver in the system settings window and click "show in finder".
  2. Delete file.

What's new:
A bunch of optimizations and graphical enhancements were made. The screensaver is more performant and looks much better!

Notes:

  • There is now a "battery saver mode", which enables whether the screensaver actually renders when on battery power.
  • When altering settings (i.e. the "options..." button), clicking "done" may not work. However, the settings are saved: just quit system settings to get out of the dialogue.
  • Please read the README!!

As usual, feedback would be great!

The first release of the screensaver. Please read everything below before downloading.

To install:

  1. Download the Wavefunction_1.0.zip file attached below.
  2. Unzip the file to get a wavefunction.saver file.

Important notes:

  • The screensaver does not activate on battery power: when on batter power, the screensaver should simply be a blue screen.
  • When not on battery power (i.e. the screensaver actually uses the gpu), legacyScreenSaver must be killed after the screensaver is dismissed– neglecting to do so may cause unnecessary usage of CPU. You can kill the process by going to activity monitor, searching up legacyScreenSaver and killing it, or by using the terminal.
  • A blue screen when on battery power means the screensaver is working. A red screen in the preview pane in system settings also means it's working. Any other solid screen color at any other time is a problem – please make an issue describing it.

Feedback would be great!
