This repository provides a systematic evaluation framework for analyzing the benefits of Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology. By integrating Monte Carlo simulations with spatiotemporal behavior modeling, the project evaluates the impact of electric vehicles (EVs)—acting as mobile distributed energy storage (MDES)—on urban power grid peak shaving and valley filling. The analysis is applied across five representative U.S. cities: New York, Los Angeles, Houston, San Diego, and San Francisco.

The framework utilizes recognized open-source datasets. Users must acquire these independently:
- Grid Load Data: Sourced from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
- Travel Behavior Data: Sourced from the National Household Travel Survey (NHTS).
- EV Population & Specifications: Sourced from Atlas EV Hub and the California Energy Commission (CEC).
- Demographic Data: Sourced from the U.S. Census Bureau.
The framework employs a three-tier approach:
- Spatiotemporal Dependency: Applies Frank Copula theory to model travel distance and departure time joint distributions.
- Differentiated Scheduling: Categorizes users (Peak, Valley, Flat) to execute targeted V2G dispatching.
- Synergy Evaluation: Introduces a dual-factor model incorporating grid elasticity and EV penetration.
