Welcome to the game "Dragon Tales: River"! In this story-driven game, you play from the point of view of River.

There are hidden interactions with various targets that can be accessed by pressing SPACE near the target.


This is what I would do, if I had more time to work on this project:
  1. Update the viewport so that the exported version looked the same as the demo, meaning that text would stay within its dialog box, the buttons and health bar would be sized and placed as expected, and the whole screen the player is supposed to see is shown.
  2. Update enemy placement and numbers to gradually increase challenge, following game design principles. A lot of my time was spent creating different enemy actions.
  3. Make use of the open, empty space.
  4. Update colors so that all characters stand out against the background.
  5. Give the NPCs bigger roles.

Developed by Riley Howardsmith in 2022 and inspired by characters from the Howardsmith siblings' fantasy novel.
