Welcome to the Legacy4J Wiki!

While this wiki is mainly focused for developers, as most of the functionality of this mod comes from the Legacy Console Edition, here are a couple of changes made to the core functionality of vanilla, both on the client and server side. You can navigate to different sections and pages using the sidebar.

Intro

Pressing the RETURN key or the bottom face button on a controller (right with the Invert Buttons option active) to skip the intro

Control Tooltips

LE's way of showing actions that can be provoked at any moment. They can often be quite handy, so be sure to take a look at them in case you're confused!

In-Game Configuration

Legacy Config Sections

The options are organized into Game Options, Audio, Graphics and User Interface sections (as well as Sodium if it is installed), with a control (by default) to Show Advanced Options to see the rest of these sections

Legacy4J Settings

The all-in-one way to access and search for these settings, also housing the Advanced Options Mode (seen in the User Interface tab) if you'd like to combine normal and advanced options screens. Accessible by pressing the Y key or by opening Legacy4J's Mod Menu config

Load Save

A way to quickly change world options before joining a world. Can be disabled with the Load Save Directly option in the Save Settings section of the Advanced Game Options

Resource Pack Management

Resource Albums

A way to group multiple resource packs in profiles, allowing for individual worlds to use different sets of resource packs, mimicking the LCE Texture Packs system. Applying an album on the title screen will apply it to servers and new worlds

Global Resource Packs

A vanilla-esque system to manage resource packs that will always be applied above the applied album. Applying a global resource pack within an album will adjust its priority in the overall resource pack order

UI Functionality Changes

Crafting Interface

Since the mod uses it's own crafting system to imitate the utility and responsiveness of the one used in LE, servers that don't have the mod installed can possibly flag this as a macro

"Classic" Interfaces

In addition to LE's Classic Crafting, you can also toggle Classic Stonecutting, Classic Loom and Classic Trading individually

Mixed Crafting Interface

A frontend for the vanilla recipe book that is automatically enabled when the mod isn't on server-side, but can be forcibly enabled with the Force Mixed Crafting option in the User Interface section

Locked Villager Trades

You can see the level at which a trade was or will be unlocked in the left recess panel, allowing you to see potential trades before leveling up (server-side)

Additional Tab Options

In addition to the Operator Items Tab, you also have options for Mod Crafting Tabs, Display Vanilla Tabs (recipe book and creative tabs) and Search Creative Tab

Creative Interface

Can be disabled using the Legacy Creative Screen option in the User interface section. You can access the tabs of other mods by changing the current page using Left Shift + L+R Arrow keys (or right stick on controller)

Leaderboards Interface

A frontend for the vanilla stats, showing the stats of the online players, or only yours if the mod isn't present on server-side. Can be disabled toggling the Leaderboards Interface option in the User Interface section

Advancements Interface

Based on the Wii U and Switch Edition Achievements Interface, shows all the available advancements if the mod is present on server-side, or only the unlocked ones otherwise. Can be disabled toggling the Legacy Advancements Interface in the User Interface section
