Ucap is an interactive mobile learning platform designed to help Indonesian care leavers transition into independent life. Built in just 30 hours for Garuda Hacks 6.0, Ucap empowers young adults with life skills through simulation, knowledge sharing, and gamification.
Over 106,000 young people in Indonesia face the harsh reality of leaving orphanages without the necessary life skills to survive independently. Many of them are not truly orphans, but victims of poverty and a lack of access to opportunities.
Real stories, like those of Anas and Syarifuddin, inspired us to create Ucap — a digital bridge to close the "care gap" and give these youth a fair starting line in life.
Ucap functions as a life-skills gym with four main features:

🎮 Life Simulation (Adventure)
Story-based interactive missions where users make decisions and earn EXP. Unlock deeper case studies and earn achievement badges to showcase progress. -
📚 Info Corner
A knowledge hub with easy-to-digest articles about critical life topics like financial literacy, job interviews, etc. Reading articles grants EXP. -
👥 Forum & Mentors
Safe, anonymous space for care leavers to discuss, share experiences, and receive guidance from volunteer mentors. -
🏆 Gamification System
Complete daily quests, earn EXP, and level up to stay motivated and engaged in your learning journey.
- Flutter: Cross-platform mobile development (Android focused).
- Firebase: Used for user authentication and database services.
- Gemini API (Google AI): Powers the interactive feedback in Life Simulation feature.

We're planning to:
- Improve UI/UX based on user feedback.

- Evolve the prototype into a polished, production-ready app that truly changes lives.
