Parameter handling is one of the fundamental drivers behind the creation and design of SMILER. In addition to allowing a a large number of models to be easily executed, the intent of SMILER is to emphasize clear and reliable parameter specification for included models. This way not only is it simple to run the models, but it is also possible to quickly and easily ensure that the models are run in a way which produces output in accordance with the desired specifications.
