Just some minor bug fixes and QoL tweaks when connecting via Archipelago.

Changes

  • When connecting via AP, checks for the existence of PaintingRando in the slot data and if disabled (or not present), automatically unlock all paintings.
  • Set 1-Up Blocks back to "Shuffled" by default.
    • This is a workaround for it not automatically updating with completed locations when AP mode is enabled prior to enabling the setting. I need to refactor my Lua scripts, but this is a good compromise in the mean time.

Locked Painting Support and Refactors

Since locked paintings is now been officially merged into AP main, I went ahead and updated the pack as well as refactored the layout a bit. I also decided to disable the Locations Overview tab for now as I plan to completely rework that to show logic in a future update and it's currently just preventing the layout from shrinking past a certain point. It's just ugly basically.

New Features

  • Support for Locked Paintings, a new setting that prevents access to stages via their painting if the unlock was not received. You can see which paintings you have unlocked in the pause menu and can mark them on the tracker by toggling the lock icon from locked to unlocked and the logic will update accordingly.
    • Also added to the broadcast view for easy display.

Changes

  • Moved logic and item settings from the bottom dock on the main window to the settings modal. Can be accessed by clicking the settings button in the top left.
  • Flipped the saturation of "Bowser Defeat" events on the map to make it clearer when it's complete.
  • Changed the graphic for 100+ stars required for the infinite staircase from "A0" to "100", as the game no longer shows that oversight. Sad.
  • Changed a few diamond symbols for star doors to trapezoids. Seems to be more standardized for "entrances" anyway.
  • Set the default for 100-coin star and 1-up block randomization to "excluded." Needs to be changed if they are enabled.
  • Some other minor image updates, code clean-up, and pruning of unused assets.

Removed

  • Removed the display for which Bowser goal is required. Plans are to bring this back (with a setting to obscure it) once auto-tracking of Bowser defeats is ready.
  • Removed setting for toggling Move Rando. Made redundant by just enabling all moves at the start.
  • Removed the Locations Overview tab.
    • See my rant above for why I removed it. It will come back eventually.

Hey look, it's Bowser tracking!

New Features

  • Bowser I, II, III Defeat Tracking (added to Items layout and Locations Overview tab)
  • Star Thresholds now default to "unknown" and can be set more reliably. Map includes scout points.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed one final flip with THI-t and THI-h entrances.

Other Changes

  • Minor layout tweaks.

This update took forever, I'm so sorry. Hope it was worth the wait though.

Feature Enhancements

  • Added check for Bowser III defeat.
    • Not tracked via Archipelago yet.
  • Added ER scout logic for SA, TotWC, WMotR, and BitFS if ER is enabled.
    • Requires a semi-recent build to see the TTC hands.

Bug Fixes

  • Entrances for THI are swapped back to their correct location.
  • Fixed broken logic for 2 BitFS locations not requiring wall kick or ledge grab.
  • Buddies now always show the correct logic.

Other Changes

  • Improvements to many item images to include name shorthands.
  • New logic/randomization settings layout.
  • Buddy checks can not be hidden.
