This should be completed at least 15 minutes before the prelude. (Typically 20 minutes before the service start)

Startup

  1. Run the "Start Wirecast" script on Webcast1, the top computer. This will automatically clone the Wirecast Template file, open the YouTube Live Control Room, and launch Wirecast.
  2. Start the NDI output: Go to Output -> NDI Output -> Start.
  3. Run the "Start OBS" script on Webcast2. This will automatically start OBS for the phone stream.
  4. Press the "Catac TV" button on the StreamDeck to turn the Catacombs and Nursery TVs on and set them to the correct input.
  5. Be prepared to start the stream 15 minutes before the published service time (e.g. 10:45 for and 11:00 service)
  6. When the prelude or announcements actually start, start streaming to Phones on OBS. Do NOT start the phone stream early, as this results in people getting a silent phone call.

Service

Some guidelines for driving the cameras around:

  1. Congregation views: Only show the congregation in groups, and from behind them. We don't zoom in on individual congregants.
  2. For the Sermon, ALWAYS use Camera 2, preset 2 (for the pulpit) or preset 3 (for the center floor)
  3. Record the sermon (including scripture reading and prayers immediately before and after the sermon) on the recorder in the rack. You can use the "Sermon Record" button on the StreamDeck for this.

Sign Language Translation

If you have sign-language translation:

  1. Use Camera 1 for the translator.
  2. Start with preset 4, and then adjust as needed to keep her and her hands in the corner frame.
  3. In Wirecast, on the top layer, click ASL to put it in Preview.
  4. When you take the next shot (by pressing go), click ASL again to put it in preview.

Stop & Shutdown

After the postlude:

  1. Stop streaming and recording on Wirecast. Stop the NDI output. Close Wirecast.
  2. Stop streaming on OBS. Close OBS.
