Hello! For our DIS course in IIIT-D we decided to create an online, free to use tool that can help children interact with physics in hopes to develop their understanding of common natural phenomena and gain an intuitive feel of the same.
As of right now we've implemented the following features/topics:
- Visualizing chaos motion / the butterfly effect
- Visualizing electric field lines due to multiple point charges
- The infinite well experiment^
- Fluid dynamics (interaction with a stationary obstacle)
- Wave interference
- Elastic collisions
- Rigid body dynamics
- Basic kinematics
^ broken due to precision issues
Babylon.js and three.js were used for the 3d workload, while the normal HTML <canvas> element was used for most of the 2d stuff.
We hope to continue work on this after semester if time permits, as this is something we're passionate towards and we get to learn many new technologies, namely,
