Get Started in 30 Seconds

Install from Chrome Web Store (Coming Soon)

  1. 🌐 Visit the Chrome Web Store (v1.0 in review)
  2. 🖱️ Click "Add to Chrome"
  3. ✅ Done! Go to any Jira board and click the extension icon

Install Manually (For Now)

  1. 📥 Download the latest release
  2. 📂 Extract the ZIP file to a folder
  3. 🔧 Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions/
  4. 🛠️ Turn on "Developer mode" (toggle in top-right corner)
  5. 📦 Click "Load unpacked" and select the extracted folder
  6. 🎉 Visit any Jira board and click the extension icon to start!

How to Use

💾 Saving a Filter

  1. 📍 Go to your Jira board and set up the filters you want (sprint, assignee, labels, etc.)
  2. 🔵 Click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar
  3. ✏️ Give your filter a memorable name (like "My Current Sprint")
  4. 😀 Pick an emoji icon (optional, but fun!)
  5. 💾 Click "Save Filter"

Done! Your filter is saved and ready to use anytime.


⚡ Using a Saved Filter

  1. 📍 Go to the same Jira board
  2. 🔵 Click the extension icon
  3. 🖱️ Click your saved filter
  4. ✨ Watch your board update instantly!

The popup closes automatically, and you're back to work in under 2 seconds.


🗑️ Deleting a Filter

  1. 🔵 Open the extension popup
  2. 🎯 Find the filter you want to remove
  3. 🗑️ Click the trash icon
  4. ✅ Filter deleted permanently

What Permissions We Need (and Why)

When you install, Chrome will ask for these permissions:

📦 Storage To save your filters on your computer
🌐 Access to Jira sites To read the Jira board URL and apply your saved filters

That's it. We don't ask for access to your browsing history, your cookies, or anything else.


Troubleshooting

🤔 The extension icon isn't showing up

  • Make sure you're on a Jira board page (not the backlog or roadmap)
  • The extension only works on Jira Cloud (*.atlassian.net)

🤔 My filters aren't saving

  • You might have hit the storage limit (5MB)
  • Open the popup - you'll see a warning if you're running out of space
  • Delete some old filters you don't use anymore

🤔 The popup won't open

  • Go to chrome://extensions/ and click the refresh icon (↻) on Jira Filter Manager
  • Try reloading the Jira page
