V1 Update
This release updates the relaunch theme for the website, as well as acts as a marker in the sands of time for when continuous deployment was set up from the repository during sprint 4.
To deploy future updates, make a pull request to merge master into live. When the changes are accepted, the website will pick them up and deploy the new theme.
Changes include:
- Updating the events footer widget to use theme stylings. Allows the unloading of more resources.
- Updates footer text color
- Fixes bug with pagination overflow
- Adds updated privacy policy to the footer of the site
- Adds dynamic sizing of the post grid layout
- Moves some security/seo features from the theme to the installed plugins
- Removes multiple Jordans from meet the team section
- Adds a hierarchical FAQ section with sub-category theme files
- Adds updated contact form page
- Adds updated membership signup form
- Plus minor tweaks and fixes
Relaunch theme
This is the new theme created for the 2020 update of the Software Cornwall website.

- Moved copyright text to theme
- Added newsletter partial
- Added missing bootstrap styles

This also includes bug fixes for various layout issues.
V1 Beta 😀
Updated WordPress theme to remove more unused stuff, plus a few additions for security. This is the first version uploaded to staging.
This release includes:
- Updates vendor libraries where possible
- Removes more built-in custom post type content
- Cleans up header markup area by removing unnecessary WordPress output
- Removes old Google Map integration causing error in the user console
- Updates Full page layout so that it doesn't fill the entire screen
- Moves homepage to a specific theme file so we can get posts without using AJAX
- Adds some accrued CSS to the project from admin panel
- Removes comments functionality
- Removes pingbacks functionality
- Removes pretty photo from the project
- Fixes disappearing menu caused by overflow within a fixed height header
- Moves font-awesome font files and fallback HTML5 script to CDN
- Updates the image sizes used by the theme to cut down on server storage
Plus a bunch more misc updates.
V1 Alpha 😀
This is the first release of the refreshed Software Cornwall theme. The purpose of this project is to migrate the website to a fresh WordPress install and use the platform as intended rather than with a mish-mash of plugins.
This is the version first installed on the staging server at the start of the project.
This release includes:
- Removal of the six dependent plugins
- Removal of hardcoded ReCaptcha
- Removal of child theme, with functionality moved to the main theme
- Removal of four custom post types and their admin options
- Removal of custom TinyMCE styling
- Removal of post formats
- Removal of flickr widget
- Update theme name and screenshot
