Description

Two or more negative clauses in a search query cause an empty result when using Solr search provider

Compatibility

The release was built for and tested with the following Sitecore products in bare condition (no hotfixes, patches or other customizations, unless explicitly specified):

  • Sitecore CMS 8.1 rev. 160302 (Update-2)

Contents

Installation

For all Sitecore instances in the solution:

  1. Make a backup of the files mentioned in Contents section that already exist in Website folder.
  2. Copy the contents of the Website folder from the archive to the Website folder of your Sitecore solution, overwrite existing files if any conflicts occur.
  3. Update all Solr-related configuration files (in the "\App_Config\Include" folder and sub-folders) by replacing the following lines:
    Sitecore.ContentSearch.SolrProvider.SolrSearchIndex, Sitecore.ContentSearch.SolrProvider
    with
    Sitecore.Support.ContentSearch.SolrProvider.SolrSearchIndex, Sitecore.Support.94448
    and also
    Sitecore.ContentSearch.SolrProvider.SwitchOnRebuildSolrSearchIndex, Sitecore.ContentSearch.SolrProvider
    with
    Sitecore.Support.ContentSearch.SolrProvider.SwitchOnRebuildSolrSearchIndex, Sitecore.Support.94448

Uninstallation

  1. Remove the files listed in the Contents section.
  2. Restore the original files from the backup made during installation.
  3. Update all Solr-related configuration files (in the "\App_Config\Include" folder and sub-folders) by replacing the following lines:
    Sitecore.Support.ContentSearch.SolrProvider.SolrSearchIndex, Sitecore.Support.94448
    with
    Sitecore.ContentSearch.SolrProvider.SolrSearchIndex, Sitecore.ContentSearch.SolrProvider
    and also
    Sitecore.Support.ContentSearch.SolrProvider.SwitchOnRebuildSolrSearchIndex, Sitecore.Support.94448
    with
    Sitecore.ContentSearch.SolrProvider.SwitchOnRebuildSolrSearchIndex, Sitecore.ContentSearch.SolrProvider

Important Notes

  2. Make a backup of the files mentioned in Contents section that already exist in Website folder.
  3. Extract the contents of the archive to the Website folder, overwrite existing files if any conflicts occur.
  4. Update all Solr-related configuration files (in the "\App_Config\Include" folder and sub-folders) by replacing the following lines:
    Sitecore.ContentSearch.SolrProvider.SolrSearchIndex, Sitecore.ContentSearch.SolrProvider
    with
    Sitecore.Support.ContentSearch.SolrProvider.SolrSearchIndex, Sitecore.Support.94448
    and also
