Visualisation tools

Those tools give a visual feedback on the compression process, showing patterns in the input as well as uncompressed areas. They are useful to spot improvement opportunities in the original code.

They are only present when RegPack is run inside the browser GUI.

Pattern view

Shows the patterns found by the crusher, using transparency to highlight the areas that get through multiple compression stages.

Thermal view

Renders the original code as a color map to show the compression rate for each character.
