Description
The new remap sucks! Where is your jammer? Where is your armory? You stripped everything that made the velator cool to make it a 30 thousand yen club to bully major factions' fighters with (plastit + emp) in the early game.
I have found a better way to remap the velator. This way it remains what it was supposed to be, a mobile base for boarders with supporting fire capability. The arbalest provides heat seeker fire at range, similar to the idna of the old velator, and the EMP provides marginal self defense and support capability. Survivability is further augmented by the 30 kt max speed and plastitanium plating in the most exposed areas.
The ship itself comes with a jammer, locker with EMP grenades and syndie jaws, a phantom smg (not that it's even remotely useable), a medbay with a defib and communications gear. Basic boarder provisions (charger, oxy tank) are obviously present too. Iff console comes standard with the trademark cyberdawn color change, making this easier to abandon in a wreck field and return to an intact ship.
Armament is, again, contentious. It could have been done differently, there could have been a screamer for anti missile work, but this was my choice of guns. Unlike the virago, though, re-gunning this could get difficult so please tell me any gripes in advance.
