We use Beyond Compare installed in the remote machine (WSL or remote Linux machines) and we use VS Code with the remote extension. We prefer that Beyond Compare opens the client on the remote machine while having the VS Code open in our local Windows Laptop. The Beyond Compare client is forwarded using X.
Changes in this pull request enable such behavior.
