After using the forked repo to make a new app myself, I think it would be helpful to make the instructions clearer. If the short name of the app is not changed in the template and tutorial files, the new app will suddenly jump to the original app. It took me a while to understand that and I think it would be good for new users to not have to jump through hoops.
Also, I included the folders that the virtualenv produces to the .gitignore file to make life easier.
