DMX channels are 1-indexed, so subtract 1 from the channel number to get to the internal zero-indexed "channel" in the final data.
Also, it makes more sense to reference a
startChannel(one-indexed, to match how DMX actually references these things) rather than achannelOffsetwhich inevitably involves some mental arithmetic which is frequently off-by-one.
