This PR modernizes the log retrieval system in evolverstage.py and its associated tests.

Key changes include:

  1. Source Refactoring: Removed the redundant get_latest_log_entry() function and optimized get_evolution_status() to perform a single call to get_recent_log_entries(). The latter was also updated to include the previously ignored bred_with field.
  2. Test Hygiene: tests/test_log_utils.py was refactored from using fragile mocks to using real temporary files via tempfile, providing much more robust verification of file I/O and parsing logic.
  3. API Consistency: All call sites and mocks in the test suite were updated to ensure a clean transition after the removal of the redundant helper function.
  4. Logic Fix: Corrected the indexing logic for identifying the "latest" log entry from a chronological list of recent entries.

All 186 tests pass successfully.
