Strawbees Quirkbot Arduino Hardware

Official Strawbees Quirkbot board definitions to use in the Arduino IDE.

To make sure your Quirkbot works correctly, you must use the Quirkbot official board definition. This is specially important if you are using Windows, as using a different definition might generate driver conflicts (if you are using windows make sure you have installed the Quirkbot drivers).

In order to make the most out of your board, you probably want to install the Quirkbot Library too.

Installation

ATTENTION: Quirkbot supports only the latest version of Arduino (1.8.5 at the time of this writing).

Automated Installation (recommended)

  • Open Arduino Preferences
  • Look for the option Additional Board Managers URLs and include the following url:
  • Now open Tools > Board > Boards Manager
  • Wait for the boards index to be downloaded.
  • Type Strawbees on the search box.
  • Install the Strawbees Quirkbot AVR Boards package.
  • Restart Arduino.

Manual Installation

  • Download quirkbot-arduino-hardware-0.8.1.zip via the download link bellow.
  • Open your Sketchbook folder, it will usually be in one of these locations:
    • Mac: ~/Documents/Arduino
    • Windows: My Documents\Arduino
    • Linux: home/[username]/sketchbook
  • Create a directory called hardware, if it doesn't already exists.
  • Unzip quirkbot-arduino-hardware-0.8.1.zipinto the library directory.
  • In the end you should have a structure that looks like this:
\---[sketchbook directory]
    \---hardware
        \---quirkbot-arduino-hardware-0.8.1
  • Restart Arduino.
