Summary

  • Update tax parameters for territories and maritime provinces with available 2024-2025 data
  • Use official CRA sources where possible

Changes

Territories

  • Northwest Territories: Added 2025 tax brackets from CRA T4032NT
  • Nunavut: Added 2023-2025 tax rates and brackets
  • Yukon: Added 2023-2025 tax rates (6 brackets including high-income surtax)

Maritime Provinces

  • Prince Edward Island: Added 2023-2025 rates with new high-income brackets
  • Newfoundland and Labrador: Added 2023-2025 rates (8 brackets)

Data Sources

  • Primary: CRA T4032 Payroll Deduction Tables for 2025
  • Secondary: TaxTips.ca for historical rates where official sources unavailable
  • Note: Some territories don't publish rates directly, relying on CRA publications

Issues Addressed

Partially addresses the need for up-to-date territorial tax parameters

Notes

  • Some 2023-2024 data missing from official territorial sources
  • Followed Chesterton's Fence principle: preserved all existing 2022 values
  • Similar data availability challenges as US state tax data
