This is the canonical public release of Savepoint.Protocol — a semantic cartography framework for nonlinear thought, cognitive recursion, and authorship overlays.

What Is Savepoint.Protocol?

Savepoint.Protocol is not a note-taking system.
It is a structured way to mark, return to, and reason through meaningful inflection points in complex work.

Savepoints are timestamped semantic beacons that scale from:

  • Solo creative reflection
  • AI-assisted recursion
  • Team cognition overlays
  • Drift tracking
  • Database or chatlog traversal
  • Analog journaling to shell scripts

They do not summarize.
They anchor.

What’s Included in v1.0

  • ✅ Canonical Savepoint syntax specification (v3.0)
  • ✅ Complete philosophical framing ("jungle cartography")
  • ✅ Team and AI compliance instructions
  • ✅ Modular file structure and examples
  • ✅ Print and shell tool integration points
  • ✅ Authors' governance and IP protection layer
  • .savepoints/2025-04-08__canonical-release.md

This release marks the intentional public declaration of the system, with documentation purpose-built for traversal by humans, teams, and LLMs.
