DISCO

Prerequisites

DISCO is currently built as a Service Manager for Hurtle. For this, the necessary SDK has to be installed: hurtle_cc_sdk. At a later version, this dependency might get removed.

Core component installation

In order to use DISCO services, at least the DISCO Backend has to be installed. In this case, the requests will have to be made over the REST interface of DISCO. The DISCO dashboard facilitates the access of the backend considerably. In this section, the installation of both components is explained clearly.

Configuration process

Both parts of DISCO, i.e. the backend and the dashboard, have to be configured so that they work properly. A section for each component will clarify the configuration process.

Usage of the Backend

At the moment, DISCO supports only create, retrieve and delete of the CRUD operations. As of now, we are not working on the "update" operation. Nevertheless, the deletion and new deployment of a computing cluster is a very fast operation in DISCO and should not take much longer than an update request.
