Selecting components for your plot

There are a bunch of free / open-source component libraries which provide common web user interface controls like Sliders, Checkboxes, and Dropdown Menus. When contributing a plot, its important to select components which play nice with both mobile and desktop browsers. When considering the use of a specific component, first test the components on a mobile device to see if they interact well with touch events before spending time integrating the controls into your plot.
