# 0027-SustainableProtocolDevelopment

## Context

To both transition toward long sustainability and uphold its legal standing it is imperative that the ODAO begins to further support protocol development. This includes participation in the funding of protocol maintenance and development. The yield the ODAO earns covers costs proposed making it sustainable and allowing accretive investments to remain intact.

## Proposal

Pay $10,000 per month for protocol development to MLabs from August 2025 through the end of 2026.
This is 16 months of payments equaling $160,000 in total.
