Two new holy orders, new religious head and titles for atomicists.

Some interesting ideas, but some of these are major changes that I don't agree with. For example, splitting Rust Cult and Atomicist into a new religious group breaks a lot of stuff that relies on the oldworld religious group or pagan_group, and would require more far-reaching changes.

The Gaians already have a holy order (The Keepers of the Green Peace), and I don't think they need a second one. On the other hand, the piety bonus from peace and extra consorts are good ideas.

The Atomicists do not understand radiation or nuclear power; they are more ignorant and less organized than your religious titles for them would indicate.

Hmm, I was hoping female Gaian rulers would be able to take multiple male consorts, but it doesn't look like that's the case.

In order:

  • Rust cultists and Atomicist have more in common with each other than with members of their previous religious groups. Both worships SCIENCE!!, both lean heavily on old world culture. Having them in separate groups makes little sense. It would be like having Catholics in Christian group and Anabtists in Reformed-Christian group. Bringing them into one group has additional benefit of minimizing negative impacts of Atomist resurgence on local Rust Cultist realms. Since they never try to convert each other, see each other as part of one group and can marry, they have more forces to spare on countless threats around them.

  • The new group doesn't break almost anything, at least to my knowledge. Rust cultists can still reform just fine and have same mechanics as before. Unique decisions/events of respective religions are still working.

  • I know about Keepers, the problem is they are not enough, Gaians fall apart in less than a century in most games, their lands suck, their neighbors are more aggressive and have needed CBs. One more religious order gives Gaians a chance and few more decades during which they can have an impact. Additional piety from peacetime works nicely with this, since Stepdaughters need more of it than Keepers,

  • Yes Atomicists don't understand nuclear power or radiation, just like rust cultists don't understand industrial machinery, or like Falling Star Christians don't understand meteorites/satellites.
The titles of Commissioner and Academicians are just that, titles. Men and women who hold them are religious leaders with holy trefoil in their sign. Not scientists, just like Tycoons and Admirals are actually feudal/tribal lords. In all cases formerly secular titles took on new meanings. Just like comes and dux, comes and princeps from antiquity became duke, count and price of modern age. Their meaning changed but the word itself remained.

  • Atomicist are organised, hence them running multiple feudal realms including a kingdom and them not being unreformed pagans. It makes sense for them to have religious structure. Especially since they hold far more land and titles than several other AtE religions and heresies. They deserve something to differentiate them from other religions around them. Right now they have just few events (technically just one) and few traits.

  • Sadly, it is not possible to implement polyandry in CK2 scripting language. The concubines for Consumerists help to ensure that prophets line does not die out within few generations as it often happens. More children also increases chances for fraternal conflict and emergence of adventurers.
