Empowering the Professional Caterers of Kenya.
The Culinary Guild is a collaborative digital platform designed to transform the local catering industry from a landscape of isolated competitors into a unified professional alliance. This project serves as a central hub for resource sharing, lead generation, and elite culinary education.
Live Demo: View Deployed Project
A private "Social Service" where members can pass event inquiries they are unable to fulfill to other vetted Guild members. This ensures that business stays within the community and clients always receive high-quality service.
A shared inventory system that allows members to rent industrial warming trays, premium linens, and specialized kitchen gear at subsidized rates, reducing overhead costs for small catering businesses.
A dedicated portal for professional growth, offering:
- Masterclasses: Plating, presentation, and modern fusion techniques.
- Certifications: Standardized Food Safety and Health badges for member proposals.
- Business Mentorship: Workshops on catering accounting and event scaling.
A public-facing marketplace where clients can browse vetted Guild members, view their specialties (Weddings, Corporate, Private Dining), and book them directly.
The project follows a minimalist, premium aesthetic to reflect professional excellence:
- Primary Colors: White , Black (#1A1A1A)
- Accent Color: Orange - Representing the warmth of the hearth and artisanal wood.
- Typography: Playfair Display (Serif) for headings and Source Sans Pro for readability.
- HTML: Semantic structure for accessibility.
- CSS: Custom styling with CSS Grid and Flexbox for a responsive mobile experience.
- Git/GitHub: Collaborative version control.
