We had the idea of making a site for people who enjoy music and artists that what to share their love for this art. We tried to diversify the categories of music represented on our site.
We had some difficulties with :
- Github : We got issues to commit and push in differents branches of the project. Only one of them was working.
- The filters : We needed a long time to be able to use the filters.
- The payment : We thought of using stripes at first for the payment method but with a lack of time and difficulties to learn how to use it we decided to make it in a different way so it only is some form fields
- Including libraries : we had some diffilcuties using many libraries with laravel. We had to abandonned them and find stranges ways to go around. For example we couldn't use multiselect bootstrap librairy or the jquery datetimpicker or moment.js. The same way it took a us a lot of time to be able to use sweetalert2 which is originally easy to install and use.
- Download picture : we had to abandon this part because there was no way to make it work.
- Time management : We don't know why but we got caught by time, probably mainly because of the impossibility to use many librairies.
Dont forget to use, before lunching your php serve, the next command :
- composer require
- npm install
- Create the file .env
- php artisan key:generate
- create on you Phpmyadmin the database with the name : listening
- php artisan migrate:refresh --seed
You're good to take i look at our work now !
Laravel is a web application framework with expressive, elegant syntax. We believe development must be an enjoyable and creative experience to be truly fulfilling. Laravel takes the pain out of development by easing common tasks used in many web projects, such as:
- Simple, fast routing engine.
- Powerful dependency injection container.
- Multiple back-ends for session and cache storage.
- Expressive, intuitive database ORM.
- Database agnostic schema migrations.
- Robust background job processing.
- Real-time event broadcasting.
Laravel is accessible, powerful, and provides tools required for large, robust applications.
Laravel has the most extensive and thorough documentation and video tutorial library of all modern web application frameworks, making it a breeze to get started with the framework.
If you don't feel like reading, Laracasts can help. Laracasts contains over 1500 video tutorials on a range of topics including Laravel, modern PHP, unit testing, and JavaScript. Boost your skills by digging into our comprehensive video library.
