Flash Chat App is a group messaging application inspired by the idea of having a personal group without compromising privacy. It provides users with an exceptional group chatting experience and offers a range of upcoming features, including private mode chat (where names are not visible except to the admin in urgent or emergency cases), polls, bill splitting, UPI money transfers, creating new groups, multiple groups with different participants and purposes, and much more.
To get started with the Flash Chat App, follow these steps:
- Fork this repository.
- Add the Firebase config file to the project.
- Launch the app and start chatting with your friends!
The app currently offers the following features:
- User registration with email and password.
- User login with email and password.
- Themes: Choose between light mode and dark mode.
- Send text messages to your group.
- Delete messages within a specified time limit.
- Reply to specific messages.
- Usernames are not visible for privacy purposes (optional feature).
- Different message bubble colors for different users within a session (randomly changes upon reopening the app).
- Any group member can delete all messages using a provided password or code (the user who initiates the deletion will have their details logged).
