MinicraftJS v0.1.4 - MinicraftJS On the Go!
Finally, mobile support is here! Now you can play on your phone or tablet, though the controls are experimental and may change.
A few bugs were also fixed, including a sort of half-fix of the resource desync bug. I still am not sure why it still occurs, but I made it occur less often, so yay!
Still no more content, but probably soon there will be a big content update.
There are unfortunately no mobile packages yet for native installation (as I would have to sign them and I'm not ready to do that yet), but now you can play it in your browser on mobile just fine with icons and buttons to move, open/close inventory and crafting, open the help menu, and favorite items. Other controls are detailed in the help menu.
MinicraftJS v0.1.3 - The Exploration With Friends Update
After quite a while of working on other projects, I finally came back to this to create a big new update!
Here's all the cool new features:
- A help menu (opened with H) to help new people figure out all the controls
- Pressing H in the inventory or crafting menu will display the description for the selected item
- Placeable wooden walls and floors! Now you can finally build a house!
- A selector to show where placed objects will be placed (furniture, wooden floors/walls, acorns, etc.)
- A new and improved music system! Each different area has different music, and the boss music and hp bar system actually works now.
- A system for parryable projectiles
- Many multiplayer bugs fixed
- Finally, last but most definitely not least, a layer system! Explore the caves deep in the earth to mine for minerals instead of just finding circular caves. Locate the stairs to descend into the underground layers, then mine to your heart's content. This system is still very buggy with multiplayer, but testing in singleplayer found little to no bugs with it.
I hope you enjoy this new update (I had a lot of requests for the ability to build a house). The next update will probably fix many of the layer multiplayer bugs and maybe add some new content.
MinicraftJS v0.1.2 - Bug Spray
Fixed quite a few bugs relating to multiplayer and world loading, and removed world sizes (for now) as they were really buggy.
MinicraftJS v0.1.1 - World Builder
A new update for MinicraftJS!
Here's all the cool new features:
- Added world Types and Sizes to customize your world!
- Added a new King Slime drop: Azure Essence.
- Added two new endgame items made using Azure Essence: The Spectral Axe and Spectral Pickaxe. You're gonna have to get them ingame to see what they do!
- Fixed many annoying bugs, including the projectile bug and the boss music bug.
- Added a day/night cycle with visuals.
- Made monsters only spawn at night.
I also began development on a chunk system, which would allow for "infinite" world size, among other goodies. It's very experimental and probably won't be done for a long time, but I hope I can get it to the point where it works so I can do like an experimental release or something.
MinicraftJS v0.1 - King Slime
The initial release of MinicraftJS, with the final goal being to defeat the King Slime (hence the name). The web version auto-updates, so I didn't bother to make dedicated desktop builds, as it just creates hassle with how often I update the game.
