Thanks for the PR!

Unfortunately, the public/vso-client.js file is automatically generated from the CoffeeScript file located at src/vso-client.coffee. At minimum, for this PR to be accepted, the equivalent changes would need to be made to the CoffeeScript file so that when vso-client.js is generated, it includes these changes. Otherwise, if I were to try to publish these changes to NPM, the .js file would be automatically overwritten.

Also, it's prudent for me to point out that I'm no longer maintaining this API client. You may be better served by the official API client that Microsoft maintains.
