This page outlines the design of a development kit for the boat, used for local development away from the actual boat. The shoreside does not have a development kit as it is more portable and can be used for local development
| Functional Component | Part |
|---|---|
| 12 V Power | 120 VAC/12 VDC Power Adapter, 2 A minimum |
| 5 V Power | 120 VAC/12 VDC Power Adapter, 2 A minimum |
| Onboard Computer | Raspberry Pi Model 3B |
| Propulsion Controller | Arduino Nano* |
| Motor Driver | Pololu 2s12v10 |
| Wireless Controller | Arduino Nano* |
| Wireless Transceiver | RFM69HCW Breakout |
| Networking | Wireless Router |
| GPS Module | MTK3339 |
| Electron Transport | Wire |
*The Arduino Nano is a smaller, less expensive functional equivalent of the Arduino Uno, having the same onboard microcontroller (ATmega328) and the same pinout. It is better suited to a development kit.
