Commandtrein supports the following actions:

Timetable

Displays timetable / liveboard for a given station

commandtrein timetable <station> # shows timetable for station

Example:

commandtrein Gent-Sint-Pieters

Connections

Find connections between two stations

commandtrein <station1> <station2>

Example:

commandtrein Gent-Sint-Pieters Zingem

this command will display the available connections, including departure and arrival times, duration, and platform information. You can use the -t --time flag and an hour formatted as hhmm to specify departure hour:

commandtrein Zingem Ronse -t 1600

Search

List all SNCB stations

commandtrein search

To filter results, you will have to use tools like grep. Filtering is planned in upcoming releases

commandtrein shortcut list

Add a new shortcut

commandtrein shortcut add <name> <station1> <station2>

To use a shortcut, you can just call the program with the shortcut name, time flag supported.

commandtrein shortcut add work zingem ronse
commandtrein work -t 0800
