i've made a program that dumps all tim2 textures from a PS2 .tri into their respective tri/texture strcode pair (one of the tools i utilized for https://github.com/dotlessone/MGS2-PS2-Textures , which fully rebuilt all of MGS2's PS2 .tri textures back into their original file structure, and I am currently in the process of finishing MGS3 before I put it out publicly)

from that, i built a secondary script that automatically identifies all of these mappings via their known tri/texture strcode pairs from the HDC/MC version's bp_assest/manifest files.

todo

  • finish remaining camo outfits (which have conflicting strcode pairs and need to be manually identified once)
    • sha1 hashing all the identified sna_def_olive.bmp_, and sna_face_ textures from each camo outfit folder will let me complete the script to automatically generate all remaining slot.dat mappings for every language for both snake eater and subsistence
