Changes & Features

  • Electrical wiring is now hidden by default and is only shown when a wiring tool is equipped
    This requires a DMT update. Download the attached file and extract it to the ROOT 7 Days folder, not the mod folder, overwriting conflicts
  • Ammo now stacks to 5,000, up from 2,000
  • The Halloween event has ended. Items and candies are still usable, but no longer drop

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that resulted in apples not stacking as intended
  • Fixed a bug that caused the ammo conversion recipes to grant more ammo than intended

  • The noise made by the minibike engine has been reduced
  • Minibikes are now slightly more fuel efficient
  • Slightly increased the drop rate of Accessories
  • Added a recipe to make bread, a simple early-game food made with flour and water oil
  • Added apples, a rare drop from cutting down trees, and apple juice, an early game drink
  • Increased the damage caused by the Burning Shaft mod debuff
  • Football Player zombies no longer spawn during tier 3 Buried Supply quests

Nerfs

  • Rebalanced the rewards provided by the Zombie Challenge quests relative to their difficulty

  • Medicinal Honey now cures 25% of infected status, up from 10%
  • Herbal Antibiotics now cures 25% of infected status, up from 10%
  • Antibiotics now cures 100% of infected status, up from 25%

The above changes have been made to reflect a previous change that affected how quickly infections progress

Nerfs

  • Emerald Necklace now provides 5 armour, down from 10
  • Gemstone: Armour is no longer compatible with Emerald Necklace

Changes & Features

  • Updated stack sizes of various items to have uniform values
    Resources: 10,000, Ammo: 2,000, Blocks: 500, everything else: 250
  • Added many additional items to the Air Drop loot table
  • Animal limbs can no longer be dismembered (previously only their heads could not be)
  • The Enraged Demolisher is a little less enraged
  • Reduced the dig zone radius during the Dusty Tome quest
  • Reduced the probability that cops will spawn during early gamestage blood moons
  • Reduced the block damage caused by cops exploding during blood moons

Nerfs

  • Steel armour has been removed from loot and trader inventories
    If a steel armour piece was meant to drop, 1-3 Steel Armour Parts will drop instead
  • Crispy Wolf Ribs are now crafted at Master Chef rank 3, up from rank 2, as intended
  • Reverted a previous change that increased levelling speed
  • Removed the increased bonus loot gamestage from Lucky Looter
  • Significantly reduced the amount of Dukes found in the Dusty Tome quest buried chest
  • Reduced the experience bonus found on the Gold Chain and Emerald Necklace accessories

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that caused dropped loot container to contain fewer slots than intended
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Increased Health and Stamina perks to be available at lower level than intended (Hotfixed)
  • Descriptions for perks that have been modified by Jeg's Mods now have the signature blue font
    Some changes may not appear in the description yet - localisation is being rewritten

  • The levelling curve has been adjusted, resulting in faster levelling at low levels
  • Added several new perks to the Extra Progression tree
  • We've finally found a cloth and wiped the 2x, 4x and 8x scopes, resulting in less dirt on the lens
  • Doubled the quantity of bird nests spawning in the world, but you still won't find one at the start of the game
  • The introductory questing experience has been revamped and extended
  • Rabbits and Chickens comfort ate during lockdown and now run slower
  • Wheat harvest quantity is now affected by Living off the Land
  • Hammer Time perk books now have a unique icon
  • Club mods are now also compatible with sledgehammers
  • Added a new weapon mod, Blessed Metal Mod
  • Tyres can now be picked up and the Wheel recipe has been changed
  • Wood and Coal now burn more efficiently in campfires, forges and chemistry stations
  • Added BioFuel which can be used as fuel in campfires, forges and chemistry stations, unlocked by Physician rank 1

  • Completing special trader quests now have additional rewards
  • Several recipes that use Raw Meat have had the meat requirement reduced

Nerfs

  • Zomboid Eradication quest no longer progresses during blood moons
  • Reverted a previous change that drastically reduced crafting times
  • Bicycle and minibike inventory sizes have been reduced
  • Item stack sizes have been rebalanced and/or reduced
  • The Pilot's License perk tree has been removed and merged with Grease Monkey
  • Reduced the drop rate of jewellery boxes from zombie loot bags

Extra Progression

  • Max level reduced to 300, down from 500 (300 is vanilla cap)
  • The Increased health perk now scales from 20 to 100, down from 100 to 300
  • The Increased health perk now requires 2 skill points per point, down from 5
  • The Increased stamina perk now scales from 20 to 100, down from 100 to 300
  • The Increased stamina perk now requires 2 skill points per point, down from 3
  • The Thermal Protection perk now has 3 ranks, down from 5, and grants 6 to 18 hot & cold resistance, from 4 to 24

Grease Monkey

  • Bottles of Acid are now craftable at Grease Monkey rank 2 rather than being always unlocked
  • Recipes to craft placeable vehicles now require the associated perk rank rather than being always unlocked
  • 4x4 Chassis, Parts and 4x4 Truck are now craftable at rank 3, down from rank 4
  • Gyrocopter Chassis, Parts and Gyrocopter are now craftable at rank 4, down from rank 5
  • Helicopter Chassis, Pilot's License, Rotor and Helicopter are now craftable with Grease Monkey rank 5
  • Big Engine is now unlocked at Grease Monkey rank 5 instead of requiring Advanced Engineering rank 5
  • The material cost for crafting vehicles has been rebalanced

Accessorise

  • Several new and updated effects have been added to accessories
  • All accessories now provide 3 hypothermal and hyperthermal resistance - This is not displayed on the item
  • Added new gemstones which can be socketed into accessories for additional bonuses
  • Increased the economic value of accessories

IMPORTANT

This release and all releases going forward are being created using DMT. This is a modding tool that allows me to edit the core game files rather than only the XML files.

Make sure you download the file named DMT and extract it to the 7 Days to Die folder, not the mods folder, overwriting any conflicts. The folder structure has been laid out correctly for you.

This will only be required when the game version updates or when a mod update requires editing of the .dll files.
