Chances since 9.0:

  • NetbootCD is now based on Core 11.1. Loading Core proper from the NetbootCD menu will also load an 11.x version.
  • Version lists for Ubuntu, Fedora, and RHEL have been updated with new versions.
  • GRUB4DOS has been updated.
  • The floppy disk set is now a 7-disk set that uses FreeDOS to boot a modified Core 7.x, which then downloads and boots NetbootCD 11.1.

  • Version lists for Ubuntu, Fedora, and RHEL have been updated with new versions.
  • GRUB4DOS has been updated.
  • The floppy disk version has been removed for now. I plan on making a new floppy disk launcher based on an old version of Core.

Changes in NetbootCD 7.2:

  • Previously, there was a bug where only one kernel parameter would be passed to the new kernel. Now, all parameters should get passed.
  • SliTaz 5.0 rolling release has been added as a boot option.
  • The "download" option now tries to get nbscript.sh from GitHub before netbootcd.us. (The netbootcd.us script has been redirecting to GitHub for a while.)
  • When using the utils menu to load Tiny Core with Firefox or GParted, the application will launch automatically when X starts.
    • The dillo web browser is now an option as well.
    • For GParted, swap partitions will be unmounted automatically.
  • When loading Tiny Core, you can now select a window manager. The default is flwm_topside, listed first in the menu.
